Welcome to Project "Sheson Footrest"

Imagine a situation where an individual who is working from a seated position has adjusted an ergonomic chair for the best arm positioning level on the desk, keyboard and mouse; yet, cannot support the feet flat on the floor! What ergonomic furniture would prove best to support him or her if not a footrest? If your answer is as good as mine - "nothing else, except the unique support of the footrests"! Then you should have no trouble agreeing with me that if the feet are not supported when working from a seated position, circulation to the legs will be greatly limited! This is a result of having too much pressure on the back of the thighs or more pressure on the lower back due to the tendency to lean forward outside the support area, in order to obtain support for the feet. When you want to consider what footrests would make you comfortable in your seated position however, you need to bear in mind the types of footrests available and what would readily suit your needs and the situation of your working environment.

Specific types of ergonomic footrests are available today, to meet your needs. They can be in a range of plastic or material designs. Some footrests come with fixed heights and cannot be altered or adjusted. There is also the adjustable ergonomic foot rest, the heights and angle of which can be easily adjusted using the feet. Some footrests also come ergonomically designed with in-built rollers, having a degree of massaging capacity to help massage your feet. Some footrests are also designed with heated panels which enable you to keep warm during the cold winter days. There are also the highly adjustable footrests which can be adjusted in both height and angle by the hand. These types of footrests are most suitable for single user workstations.

For situations where one may have different heights or leg lengths, it is advisable to go for the custom made footrests where special made models are included. There are also the rocking footrests which will "rock" in style! The gel footrests offer a soothing comfort while the footrests with anti-microbial properties are better recommended for use in multi-user workstation to curtail spread of microbes from one person to another. There are also the specific stable footrests which are meant for the base of drafting stools that lift one to a greater height than a standard chair!

For people requiring extra support after their work station has been adjusted for standard positioning at the desk, it will make a lot of difference if they consider footrests as an option. In choosing what footrests are ideal for you, you should bear in mind that there are different types existing. But look out for important features like the adjustability required of the footrests. The ease with which you can adjust it and how it can be adjusted.
